The Nancy Guthrie update today continues to attract attention as investigators work to resolve the disappearance of Savannah Guthrie’s 84-year-old mother. Nancy was reported missing from her home near Tucson, Arizona, on February 1, 2026.

Recent reporting has focused on alleged ransom emails received by former FBI agent Jennifer Coffindaffer. However, the authenticity of these communications remains unconfirmed, and they have not established Nancy’s whereabouts.

Nancy Guthrie Update Today

According to a report published by Realtor.com on October 13, Coffindaffer said she received four emails in April from people claiming to have information about Nancy. The messages reportedly demanded cryptocurrency and included a disturbing image allegedly depicting the missing woman.

Coffindaffer forwarded the communications to the FBI because she questioned their credibility. She said the agency raised concerns about the cryptocurrency wallet address. There is no verified evidence that the senders were involved in Nancy’s disappearance.

What Happened to Nancy Guthrie?

Nancy was last seen at her home in the Catalina Foothills area near Tucson on January 31, 2026. She had spent the evening with family and was subsequently dropped off at her residence.

The following morning, Nancy failed to attend a planned gathering with a friend. Family members checked her home, discovered she was missing and contacted emergency services. Authorities began investigating the circumstances and treated the case as a suspected abduction.

Latest Ransom Note Developments

In September, investigators reviewed another possible ransom communication connected to Nancy’s disappearance. On September 29, the Pima County Sheriff’s Department announced that the message was not credible and warned the public about potential attempts to exploit the case.

The reported emails received by Coffindaffer have raised similar concerns. An image or message circulated online cannot independently prove Nancy’s condition, location or the sender’s involvement. Readers should rely on official statements rather than unverified claims.
